Nearly 200 Attend TWCA Field Day

The weather was perfect for the 2016 Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance Field day (TWCA) this week. Nearly 200 attendees some from as far away as France, Japan and Canada came to hear about the latest advancements in drought technologies for cool season grasses.
Hosted by Nexgen Turf in Albany, Oregon, there were 5 stations that focused on rain out shelters, extended root development, subjective turf plot ratings and reduced maintenance. Featured speakers were: Kenneth Hignight , Director of Research for Nexgen, Debra Hignight, Associate Director of Nexgen, Dr. Jay Wipff, plant Breeder at Nexgen, Dr. Melodee Fraser from Rolesville, North Carolina and Dr. Crystal Rose Fricker from Pure Seed testing.
