Traverse 2 SRP Tall Fescue represents the result of a 10 year cooperation with Rutgers University to produce a top rated turf fescue with aggressive tillering and rhizomes that would provide excellent wear resistance and recovery. This variety also possesses superior high density and improved Brown Patch and Crown Rust resistance.
Traverse 2 SRP is also drought resistant, but the attractive turf it produces has increased demand faster than we have been able to produce it, especially among sod growers. And while our team at Turf Merchants still doesn’t expect to have a surplus in 2017, we have increased grass seed production dramatically under irrigation in Eastern Oregon.
With increased supplies in July of this year, and a Number 4 rating in the latest NTEP, we expect the popularity of Traverse 2 SRP to increase in the next few years!
