The overblown media hype surrounding the Eclipse in Oregon made most people stay home. And unless you were headed Northbound on I-5 that day, you wouldn’t have noticed much unusual!

Did you know that 70% of Oregon’s 4 million population lives in the 130 mile stretch of I-5 from Portland to Cottage Grove? And for the most part, it is still only 4 lanes! Now you can understand the potential concerns.

That being said, processing the 2017 Tall Fescue crop continues to dominate all conversations. Some growers have stopped cleaning Tall Fescue in hopes of obtaining a higher price come Spring. Additionally, as we have alluded to many times, it was such a wet production year, that many fields had unbridled growth of other crops and weeds, and getting what little Tall Fescue that has been cleaned to pass sod quality has been extremely difficult. In fact, the Oregon Grass Seed Growers Bargaining Assn.(OGSBA) reconvened with dealers this week to talk about the potential for price corrections.

Know that we are doing everything in our power to get seed to you as fast as we can!
