Despite A Rough Fall Season, There Is Good News Ahead

The Fall shipping season will go down in the annals of the Seed Industry as one of the most troublesome we have ever encountered. We made it through the solar eclipse, price hikes, and truck shortages and reduced seed availability. Sadly, the truck shortage continues, and is mostly related to the lack of drivers more than anything.
The good news is that it has been one of the best fall planting seasons for grass seed production fields we have seen in many years. There was plenty of intermittent and ample moisture and warm sunny days making fields a pleasure to work up, and giving the 2018 crop a really great jump start.
At Turf Merchants, we were able to significantly increase our acreage of our top rated Fescues, and as you can see in the attached photo, our Tall Fescues are up, clean, and in really good shape going into winter. Onward and upward!
